Ensure you're all set before proceeding. Depending on your firmware version, you may need an ENET cable and a Windows 10 laptop to upload the FSC activation file.
Here's how to check your firmware version:
Start by getting into your car.
Navigate to Navigation Maps.
Press the Options button.
Proceed to Settings.
Select Position & Version History > Version Information.
Below the map version, you'll see your firmware version, such as NBTevo_P183621. The initial letter of your software version determines the coding method: If it starts with P, Q, R, S, U, V, W, X, or Y, after the wording NBTEvo_ you will need an ENET coding cable and a Windows laptop. For versions starting with any letter before P in alphabetical order, you won't require the ENET cable.
This BMW & MINI Navigation Update includes everything you need to get started: the FSC Code, Map Files, and a Clear Instruction Guide for an easy BMW map update.
This BMW map update is designed for BMW and MINI iDrive systems equipped with the Road Map Way Maps.
Unsure if this is the correct map version for your iDrive? Our FAQ section guides you on how to check it, or you can use our Free BMW VIN Decoder to determine the maps installed on your iDrive. Once you have received the PDF containing the results from your VIN Lookup, check the Head unit / Map Version section.
Choosing is then straightforward: for example if your system has Premium maps, you have to opt for the Premium map version.

Fast and detailed support, everything goes well, worth the money
A little confusion at first as webpage made me think update would be via the ENET cable. (I needed BOTH the ENET cable and a USB for my 2017 X3). After reading instructions in link, that was made clear and the install was surprisingly easy...... AND completed without issue. This is a better value than the pricier alternatives as the cost was 50% less.
I have never tried coding something to my 2016 BMW 430i cabriolet (F33), and I am not at all technical. After running the first step (the Feature Installer), it looked like I would not be able to install the purchased map updates. However, OEM Navigations worked through this with me and as soon as I inserted the USB into my vehicle, the software started updating. The end result was that my maps are updated to the current version. I could scarcely believe it worked. Highly recommend OEM Navigations!
Very satisfied with my recent purchase of the EVO ID5/6 map update for my Mini Countryman which I successfully installed yesterday afternoon.
If you're looking for constructive comments - the instructions were generally very clear, but I could have done with a bit more clarification regarding Step 1, particularly the required initial state of the car and what to expect, but all went well. Step 2 went exactly as advertised and took around 40 minutes.
Also some people may benefit from some current info regarding 64GB USB stick formats. The default is advertised as exFAT but my (new) one appears to have been already FAT32. Your formatting app gave an error message so I don't know whether I hadn't actually needed it or if it had actually worked.
And as I said in my earlier enquiry, during my research your website was the only one I noticed which indicated that the EVO ID5/6 update didn't require an ENET cable if the firmware version starts with a letter before P in the alphabet. This was very useful (and led to the sale) as I don't actually have a Windows laptop, just desktops.
So, an excellent outcome and thanks for the good customer service.

I wasn't 100% confident about my ability to update maps on my Mini Cooper but I took my time and it all worked as per the instructions. If necessary, make sure you have all the bits you need first as I needed to buy an ENET cable and USB storage separately (although I know you can order the update pre-loaded on one and would have done so with hindsight). If you do use your own, make sure you have a large enough USB drive to fit the maps - the instructions say to use one "no larger than 64GB". I took that to mean I would need a 32GB drive, but the update was around 40GB. So, just a note for others - you'll probably need a 64GB drive!
